Concept: EXO doesn’t really have a specific concept.  They have pretty accessible music, but it also gets a little experimental at times.  When they debuted, each member was given a super power.  This idea has come back in recent years.

Sub-Units: Originally, EXO was divided into two units. EXO-K remained in South Korea and consisted of Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun. EXO-M promoted in China and had Xiumin, Luhan, Kris, Lay, Chen, and Tao.  Sometimes they promoted as a group of twelve, but they were often separate. EXO has promoted as one group since 2015, after three of the four Chinese members left the group.

Xiumin, Baekhyun, and Chen debuted as EXO-CBX in 2016.
